New Worlds Reading

The New Worlds Reading Initiative strives to improve literacy among Florida students by providing families with the tools to read and grow at home.

Eligible students, VPK-5th grade, can receive 9 free books (that they choose) each school year, along with reading activities and supplemental resources to strengthen their literacy skills. Books are selected in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education and are available in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and braille.
