HCSD School Administrator Updates for 2026-2027
 
Brooksville, Fla. - The Hernando County School District has selected three new assistant principals for the upcoming year. Angel Lopez will serve as an assistant principal at F.W. Springstead High School, Sheryl Gleason will serve as an assistant principal at Winding Waters K-8 and Tiffany Hines will serve as an assistant principal at Challenger K-8.
 
Lopez is transitioning from Powell Middle School and has taught across Hernando and Pasco Counties for nearly 20 years. 
 
Gleason will be a familiar face at WWK8 having been an educator there for many recent years.
 
Hines is transitioning from West Hernando Middle School and has more than 10 years teaching in the area.
 
Other school administrative changes happening throughout the district officially beginning Jul. 1 are as follows:
 
Lauren Schumacher is transitioning from AP at Challenger K-8 to AP at D.S. Parrott Middle School
Darla Croft is transitioning from AP at FWSHS to AP at Hernando High School
Bob Beach is transitioning from AP at FWSHS to AP at WWK8
Celisse Dipaolo is transitioning from AP at WWK8 to AP at FWSHS
Wilson Sommer is transitioning from AP at Brooksville Elementary School to AP at Central High School
Katie Reynolds is transitioning from AP at EK8 to AP at BES
Lisa Mitchell is transitioning from AP at CHS to AP at EK8
